Hunan Embroidery, one of the four best known schools of embroidery, has a history of more than 2000 year¡¯development. It originated from folk arts. After many years of experimentation, it has integrates embroidery with drawings, poems, calligraphy and other forms of arts taking on its peculiar style and is featurized in weaving cat, tigar, lion and Humen being. Modern Hunan embroidery is based on Chinese painting and has developed more than 70 embroidering methods and more than 100 colors of silks. The products are elegant in design and true to life. The brocade produced by the minority people in the west of Hunan Province is another kind of handicrafts. The brocade made by Tujia minority people is romantic in design and close to natural colors and characterized by the lozenge patterns.

Day 2. City tour in Changsha ( Provincial Museum,Yuelu Academy), visiting Hunan Provincial Embroidery Research Institute (professional workers will give detailed explanation and demonstration). (Grand Sun City HTL)
Day 3. Visiting Orange Island, Aiwan Pavilion, then fly to Zhangjiajie. (Dragon Intern¡¯l HTL)
Day4. Bus to Wangcun Village, taking cruise sightseeing on Mengdonghe River, visiting the Tujia minority brocade weaving, the Wangcun lacal museum. (WangCun HTL)

Day 6. Bus to next destination.
